Dr.
Patrick Coleman Grange County Sligo, Ireland
In 2000 I met Dr. Hagan McQuaid, Doctor of Chiropractic,
at a business meeting, where he gave a little talk on Chiropractic
Care and wellness. I was impressed and decided that
I would give "it" a try as I was having some low back pain
and discomfort. I had no idea at all what it was all
about or what to expect. As he adjusted me over the
next 4 to 5 months I found myself getting better, in 3 specific
ways.
1 While
walking, I felt that I was actually floating, and feeling
about 8 feet high. I had that "poetry in motion feeling". It
was a fantastic feeling, and if anyone had said that I could
ever feel that good while walking, I would not have believed
them.
2 The
other way was in the increase in stamina that I had, for
work, especially when working very late (up to 0300-0400hrs.
in the morning). I felt that I could just keep going.
3 Thirdly,
my back was not giving me the same kind of trouble at all.
They
were 3 fantastic feelings. Those feelings stayed
with me as long as he and his team were adjusting me, up
to June 2004, when he moved to another location.
My wife, on
the other hand, had started to going to Dr. Pat from about
June 2004, but I said that I would leave it for a "while" as
I felt grand and did not need any chiropractic care. I
still thought that I was doing well, and my wife was making
good progress with Dr. Pat. In June
2005, I decided that I would take up Chiropractic wellness
care again, and it was amazing what I discovered. Without
realising it I hade actually lost the "poetry in motion feeling",
even thought I was not having that old back problems of 5
years ago.
Since coming to Dr. Pat, I have regained that fantastic "poetry
in motion" feeling. Late night working stamina has
improved. I enjoy the adjustments and can feel that
they are continuing, and will continue, to do me good. He
has also alerted me to a few problems that I did not know
I had and he is working on these to help sort them out, some
will take quite a wile, others not so long.
I feel that Chiropractic
Care is a very misunderstood form of medicine, and I believe
strongly in it. Most people
see it as dealing with back trouble only, whereas it is really
dealing with nerve flow and total wellness, hard to take
in and understand until you actually feel it. I can
also see how it has benefited my daughter in another practise
in Glasgow as well as my wife here in this practise.
I see it
this way. You go to a chiropractor when you
are well to ensure that you keep yourself well, rather than
in conventional medicine where you go to a doctor when you
are actually sick. Chiropractic care is essential for
us all, people of all ages, and I know that I am benefiting
from it. I would like to thank Dr. Pat, Kim and the team for
their dedicated commitment to me, my wife, and daughter,
when she is at home, and their large family of clients.
